With a double-win for Mariele Runacre Temple from The Wireless Theatre Company, multiple awards for Somethin’ Else, and Folded Wing taking Gold in the hotly contested Indie of the Year, it was an eventful night at the Radio Production Awards 2011 sponsored by Sadie. Congratulations to every winner, and indeed to every finalist, and thanks to everyone who entered.
About the RPAs
These awards, launched by The Radio Academy and The Radio Independents Group, are designed to recognise and celebrate the work of UK-based radio and audio producers. The RPAs honour the achievement of individual producers and production companies demonstrated by a body of work created and delivered during the previous year.

More successes for RIG members at the prestigious New York Festivals Radio Programme and Promotion Awards 2011, announced on 20 June. Congratulations to :

Membership fees 2011-12
At the AGM on 14 June, members voted to introduce a new 10-band fee structure with effect from July 1st, based on company audio/radio turnover, as follows:

| £25,001 to £50,000 | £150 |
| £50,001 to £75,000 | £250 |
| £75,001 to £100,000 | £300 |
| £100,001 to £150,000 | £450 |
| £150,001 to £300,000 | £500 |
| £300,001 to £500,000 | £600 |
| £500,001 to £1 million | £750 |
| over £1 million | £1,000 |
Current members should have been notified of the new rates by email and invoices will be mailed out soon

Independent radio
production companies put in another fine perfomance in last night's Sony Radio
Academy Awards. with 7 Golds, 5 Silvers and 7 Bronzes from an estimated 20 categories open to indies.
